Rotary Club of Willenhall |
||||
|
Formed in 1936, by the Rotary Club of Bilston. We have 21 members of both genders with a wide age range. Members are encouraged to attend at least 50% of our meetings, but are welcome to visit other clubs as we welcome visitors from other clubs. Our aim is to provide fellowship amongst business and professional people, and their families. whilst providing support, both practical and financial to others less fortunate than ourselves. We have a Carvery meal followed by Rotary business and a couple of meetings a month we have a Speaker. Meetings are light-hearted, and social interaction is encouraged. We have a full social calendar which always involves the family and often friends. At least once a year we have a ‘week-end away’ and many of our social activities also have the benefit of raising money for charitable purposes. Visitors are always made most welcome at our meetings. Although not a major role in the Club, we have, raised thousands of pounds for many causes locally, nationally and internationally. We are currently supporting two children in Zambia and Sri Lanka as well as the Rotary initiative to rid the World of Polio. Like many clubs we are always looking for additional members. If you feel you are qualified, and have the time, get in touch you have nothing to lose and you may have a lot to gain - helping others always brings its own rewards. The club meets at 5-30pm for Dinner at 6pm every Thursday, except on the last Thursday each month, when we meet at 6.30pm for Dinner at 7pm, along with our partners at: - The Dale House Carvery & Restaurant, Bilston Street Willenhall.
