Rotary Club of Wolverhampton St. Georges

St George's is the only
breakfast club in Wolverhampton, established in 1992 and chartered in 1993.
-
Our objects are:
To establish fellowship amongst business and professional people with the aim
of providing service to society at home and overseas, and to foster
international understanding.

We have a very active membership
of
30
ladies and gentlemen.
-
We meet
weekly on Tuesday mornings
at
7.15am for 7.30am.
-
We have a full
programme
of events
and activities throughout
the year.
-
Annual
charitable giving
is around £20,000
each year.

One of our major
Fundraising events
is the annual Charity Sportsmen`s Dinner. Past speakers include
Emlyn Hughes, Geoff Miller, John Conteh and Dennis Taylor.

achievements
include:
Created
recreational garden at sheltered home for abused mothers and children
Provision of
equipment for Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary
Financial
support to Mencap Wolverhampton
Helping
children with reading skills at local primary school
Provision of
medical equipment for
a
childrens' hospital in Brazil
Ongoing
support of many local and national charities
Contributor to disaster appeals
(especially through Shelterbox)
