Rotary Club of Bilston.
-
One of Great
Britain’s older clubs, established in 1931, with a present membership of 25
-
We meet
every Monday evening at 7pm for 7.15pm
-
Members aim
to attend 50% of the meetings
-
There’s a
meal and usually a speaker on general topics and at least one meeting a month
when Rotary business is discussed.
-
We
ARE looking for new members.
-
You need to
know much, much more about Rotary in Bilston and Rotary International before
you get the remotest bit interested, so the invitation is there, just to come
along any Monday evening (Bank Holiday excluded) sit, listen, have a chat with
one or two of the members and just get to know if it’s for you.
-
Bear in mind
you can’t lose anything BUT you might just
gain.
-
The club
subscribes totally to the sentiments of one of the city’s greatest Rotarians,
Tom Warren, who was one of only four British Rotarians ever appointed
President of Rotary worldwide and who presented the club with its Charter -
“Rotary, as I view it, offers the ordinary man, who might otherwise bewail his
helplessness, an opportunity to contribute towards a better day.
It gives him fellowship, touch with local affairs and needs, and the desire to
help the blind man forget that he cannot see.”
The Club meets
at 7.00 pm each Monday at
The Mount
Hotel,
Mount Road,
Tettenhall,
Wolverhampton
